This Morning, November 26, 2015 it appears you can’t get to the App portion of the GooglePlay store without typing the proper URL. Instead it brings you to the Music, Books and Movie section, What’s up with that! Even using the Special Google Icon drop down in Chrome…Same thing.Let’s see where this
goes! Is this about changing people’s habits and exposing what else the store is about? Maybe just a glitch, but I couldn’t get to 
the app section from the default page. Seems relatively easy when you know:

But the default brings you to other PlayStore ventures such as Music, Movies and Books. Found at https://play.google.com/store with no apparent way to get to the App Store,
The mobile App, from your phone or tablet brings you directly to the App store still, but gives you the choice of Apps and Games or Entertainment via Navigation Tabs. I guess it’s progression to market what Google would likely to happen. Increase their sales volume in the Non App area.
The top left Icon at the top of this post, will take you to the App Store, Bookmark it from your browser
